Even if you wash the brush perfectly after use, the moisture remaining at the contact point between the brush and the hanger creates an environment for bacteria to grow. Here's how we remedied it:

The hanger has been designed in such a way that the brush heads hang down and maintain a distance to the wall (on which the hanger is located) and to each other. This way, whatever is left on the brush head after brushing your teeth will stay there instead of dripping onto the hanger or shaft. The bristle of the brush head will not come in contact with anything. So we have two lines of defense:

1. What we put in our mouth while brushing our teeth hangs in the air and is not in contact with anything.
2. What is left on the brush head will not flow onto the hanger.
